Howard Beach Neighborhood Study

In direct response to recent depictions, media portrayals and stereotypes of Italian Americans such as that of MTV's Jersey Shore, this website provides an in-depth look into the cultures and demographics of the Howard Beach neighborhood. Through the use of interviews, personal surveying, interaction with its residents and academic research, our website provides a comprehensive and unbiased depiction of Howard Beach. Some of our questions served to portray how likely residents are to raise their families and stay within the area, what they think about their neighborhood, and whether they own or rent their homes.
