Juniors can apply to be accepted early to, and to begin taking courses in the Graduate Center’s Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) degree program in their Senior year. The Grad Center’s application deadline is November 1, 2019.

  • Complete your graduate degree in only one additional year after college.
  • Refine your research and writing skills, and hone in on your academic specialization, to get a running start towards doctoral study.
  • Graduate-level courses are eligible to fulfill honors course requirements for the Macaulay degree.
  • MALS allows grad students to take PhD-level courses at the GC.
  • The application does not require the GRE or any standardized test scores.
  • Perfect for students who want to complete a research degree but aren’t yet ready to apply.
  • Perfect for non-STEM students, and those with an interdisciplinary focus.
