McKinley Park

The McKinley Park branch is the primary library for residents living on 8th Avenue. It is located on 68th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway, and is one of the busiest libraries in Brooklyn, serving an "ethnically diverse community of 48,000 people." The number of language books offered in the library reflects this- it hold books in languages such as Arabic, Albanian, Chinese, Russian, and Polish. [1]

Sunset Park

The Sunset Park branch is the second closest library to 8th Avenue residents. Once declared obsolete, the branch was refurbished in the 1970s and currently is one of the most technologically advanced libraries in Brooklyn. The Sunset Park branch also serves the Spanish and Chinese language speaking communities in Sunset Park, which is reflected through the literature it carries. [2]
