Catherine Lavender (Professor) is Scottish and Irish. She is the Director of the American Studies Program and an Associate Professor History at the College of Staten Island/CUNY.
Michael Rainey (Fellow) is Irish and Alsatian. He serves as Seminar II's Macaulay Technology Fellow, and is in the process of completing a PhD in Sociology at City University of New York.
