From The Peopling of New York City

Mukesh Kumar was raised in Astoria, Queens. He went to WC Bryant High School, a run of the mill public school. He was planning to join the US Army until he learned that he somehow got into the CUNY Honors College at City College and decided to go there instead.

Other than high grades he didn’t really do anything distinguishing in grade school, but he did win third place in a school science fair in the 5th grade.

He is interested in the mechanisms of how the human brain works and hopes to be a neurologist or neurosurgeon, but isn’t sure if he’s ready to give the long commitment that it takes to become a doctor. His short-term goals are to get over his laziness and maybe start doing research at City College and join some clubs, so he can have something to put on his resume, which is looking very empty right now.
