Vinusha Autar is a first year architecture student at Macaulay Honors College at the City College of New York.

She graduated in 2006 from The Bronx High School Science. In high school she was active in Random Acts of Kindness, a club that promoted charity and community output. She was also a member of the Bronx Science GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) Chapter, which aimed to build bridges among the members of a very diverse student body. Her best times in high school, however, were spent on the Science Survey, her school newspaper; she was both reporter and editor for two consecutive years and learned a great deal about journalism, layout and team work.

Vinusha's interest in architecture is a recent one, which she has tried to nurture through design and construction classes in high school and a paid internship through the New York School Construction Authority. She worked for six weeks at John Ciardullo Associates, an architectural firm in midtown Manhattan, where she honed CAD skills. Vinusha is currently, intensely, debating her decision to pursue architecture.

Although Vinusha dedicates a great deal of her time to architecture, she has a variety of interests including journalism, photography and American politics.

Vinusha doesn't really have any distinguishing commendations to her name, but she does have a very interesting name.
