Galina Aynbund was born in Bobruisk, Belarus on April 26, 1989. She immigrated to America with her family when she was four years old. Galina lived in Borough Park (in Brooklyn) for eight years and then moved to Marine Park, where she currently resides. Galina enjoys dancing, swimming, reading, running in the park, hanging out with friends, traveling, and, at times, doing absolutely nothing.

In June of 2007, Galina graduated as valedictorian of her class from Leon M. Goldstein (a.k.a. Kingsborough) High School in Brooklyn. During her four years of high school, Galina was active in the Jewish Heritage Club, was President of the AP Calculus Club and of Arista Honor Society, volunteered many hours of her time at a nursing home, and enjoyed participating in the school's annual SING program. Galina took away many lasting memories from high school, and hopes to continue to create wonderful memories in Baruch College.

During her college years, Galina hopes to remain active in the school community, study abroad, see and learn new things, and become a more educated, well-rounded individual. Galina plans on majoring in either actuarial science or finance, although the Princeton Review career quiz seems to suggest that Galina would make a great farmer.

Galina is very excited to learn about the Jews of Midwood and to be part of her IDC's class very own website!
