Prof. Ginsberg's Bio

From From Tevet to Iyar...

Since all of you are so interested in me here is some brief information about my life.

I am a lifelong resident of Brooklyn.

BA degree is from Yeshiva University. I majored in Political Science. I graduated in 1995.

MA and PhD degress are from New York University. I studied in the Wilf Department of Politics. I received my MA degree in 1997 and my PhD in 2007.

My dissertation title is "Why do People Vote? The Impact of Race and Ethnicity on Turnout in US Presidential Election".

I now teach at Baruch College a variety of advanced courses in political science. I am so happy to have such wonderful students here at Baruch. I am also happy to have the opportunity to teach the sceond seminar course in the MacCaulay Honors program.

I am currently working on some qualitative methods of studying turnout in various communities in New York.

On a personal note, I am married to Neal and the mother of three children - Joseph (age 7), Jacob (age 5), and Maya (who will be 4 on October 17).
