From The Peopling of NYC

I am a Filipino-American, born in New York on November 9, 1988 and currently live in Bayside. My parents immigrated here from the Philippines in the early 80's. More often than not, I identify myself as American. I guess I can thank my parents for that considering they seem to have been very successful in assimilating to American culture. Both speak english as if they were born here. I still have much to learn about myself and my Filipino background and, as a result of this project, I look forward to doing so.
