From The Peopling of NYC

I was born in Shanghai, China in 1987. I came to New York when I was 7. My parents came in the late 1980s, and brought me after settling in New York. I have very much assimilated into American culture, although I have strong roots in China, and I often go back to China during the Summer to visit relatives.
