To better understand the living condidtion of a typical Chinese immgrant, Shimin Zhang found a job at a Chinese owned Japanese food restaurant in Pennsylvania during spring break 06. According to Shimin, the experience "really gave me a good glimpse of the kind of pressure that the immigrants have to live with, but at the same time it also provided me a good snapshot of their abilitiy to find great joy in life even under such hardship."
