My name is Shruti Karnawat. I was born in India. I came to America when I was two, and have lived here most of my life. However, I have been lucky enough to still be in touch with my culture due to my constant visits to India and my parents' deep faith and nationalism that they have passed onto me. I consider both America and India my homeland, and would not be able to choose one. I currently reside in Forest Hills, Queens.
