Conclusions about Hollis

Hollis is a community that has gone through many changes. It started off as a mere settlement and grew into a thriving prosperous community, which experienced economic decline in the 1960s to the 1980s. Although the property values of Hollis have always been relatively high, the economy of the community has not always been in good shape. However, the economy was able to be revitalized through investment in a shopping center. Without the shopping center the area would have begun to experience a decline in property values. It was the work of immigrants and their descendants that made the construction of the shopping center possible. Investment in the community needs to continue so that Hollis can remain a safe community with high property values. For the neighborhood to continue to improve, I suggest that there be investment in the roads and renovation of stores to keep up appearances, so that people will continue to want to move to Hollis, and to go shopping in Hollis.
