Dr. Mysorekar is president of the Hindu Temple Society of North America, and was an instrumental player in establishing the temple in Flushing, Queens. Furthermore, she is the vice-chair holder at the Interfaith Center of New York and a practicing gynecologist in Flushing.

She received her B.S. and M.D. at the University of Bombay, India.

I believe Dr. Mysorekar is a women of traditional and modern gender roles in society, who has flourished in the New York environment. Her role as a Indian South Asian woman is multifaceted and refreshing. Because of her large responsibility in the greater South Asian society and as a doctor of a private practice, it has been fairly difficult to schedule a meeting with her. However, as a group, I feel we should compile a logical and insightful set of questions and try to email Dr. Mysorekar to reveal more about her own personal feelings about being an Indian woman and keeping her identity here in New York, while taking on a powerful role as a female. We all have different topics, so compiling a list together will benefit all of our interests. I have started compiling a few questions.
