Pamela Albanese

About me: I am a doctoral candidate in Comparative Literature at The Graduate Center^[1] and a technology fellow at Hunter College. My dissertation, A Critical and Cultural Poetics of the End: Self, Space, and Volatility in Los Angeles, explores intersections between self and place in literary and cinematic representations of Los Angeles. I've taught the 20th Century American Novel, the Fantastic Short Story, and Introduction to Literature at Hunter from 2003-2006, and worked as a writing fellow at Brooklyn College and CUNY Law from 2006-2008. I hold a B.A. in Literature from Bard College and previously worked as a web designer and freelance writer. I grew up in Rhode Island and currently reside in Brooklyn.^[2]
