From The Peopling of New York City
John Latham was an English ship's carpenter from Montgomery Ward with a wealth of 15 pounds and slave named Fortune. At first I thought that he got married to an Agnes Johnston on April 18, 1734, but now I am not sure. After searching on familysearch.org and databases at the New York Public Library. I found an overwhelming number of John Lathams from the 18th century. No matter where I looked or how I compared the information, I was not able to come to any conclusions.
