New York is the center of the United States for art, fashion, business and industry so there is art all around.  But, as cliché as it sounds, for me, the art that I appreciate is the collection of things that some people pass by everyday and never realize are beautiful.  For me one of those things is the sign of the six train as I get on at 77^th st.  It is not the sign itself that is beautiful and artistic but the idea of what it represents. I think that the fact that everyday hundreds of people get on the six train at the 77^th St station and share a ride to wherever they will begin their day with a group of strangers is humbling as well as artistic.
