Metropolitan Museum visit #3 (excluding visits in IDC)

On Friday, I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see the New American Wing. I remember going there before and liking it, but when I went to see the redone exhibit, I was amazed at how it turned out. It looked like a courtyard, with a fountain and sculptures, leading to two old-fashioned electric lights, leading down to some steps, leading down to a facade of what appears to be a mansion. Inside the "mansion", there were various rooms like those of the wealthy in the 18th and 19th centuries. I was especially interested in the chess set, having seen that specific chess set in a book I once had of the artistry of chess sets throughout history.

I also go to see the Christmas tree/creche in the Medieval Art exhibit, and it was huge. The chreche must have had about a hundred figures, including 50 angels on the tree, each with their own unique expressions. There was beautiful choral music playing, and it was just magnificent. This is why I love Christmas so much.

One more thing: There was even a live piano quintet on the second floor of the museum in a temporary bar called "The Balcony Bar." I can't drink, and I didn't have any money, so I just listened to the music.
