Snapshot at Macaulay

Last week we were asked to attend Snapshot Day at Macaulay Honors College, and to be quite honest I wasn't exactly excited to attend. My scheduled time was at 9 in the morning on a Sunday, which seemed to be unnecessarily early at the time. Well when I arrived, I couldn't remember who my group was during orientation, so I just formed a group with friends instead. We were asked to make a video using pictures from snapshot day, we weren't given much direction so my group and I decided just to make a video about the 5 boroughs. At first it was tedious getting everything together but it ended up being sort of fun. We found songs that correlated with each borough and we put together our video in two hours. Afterwards we were told that we could just go home, so the majority of people did. The whole event seemed odd to me, we just came for two hours to make a video and that was it. On the bright side of the things, we were able to view the photographs of everyone in the Macaulay Honors Program. It was cool to see what people picked as their "neighborhood" I found it really cool that in some photographs I knew exactly where the picture was taken. I could pinpoint which ones where from Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, most of the others looked foreign to me though ! I thought they were all beautifully done, and I couldn't pick which one was my favorite but I especially liked the section of water I thought they were all well done. Snapshot day was overall interesting last sunday, but it probably could have been better if it wasn't so early !
