From The Peopling of New York City

Hi, my name is Hedy Haroun. I was born in Los Angeles, California where I lived until I was eight years old. My favorite season is the summer although I do like snowdays. I live in Queens now and I like the city for its liveliness and exciting sites. I have a younger sister who is in high school. I want to major in anthropological linguistics because I enjoy learning about other languages, cultures, and forms of expression. I love shopping, going to amusement parks, and watching movies. My favorite novel is A Tale of Two Cities and my favorite movie is “Anastasia.”
