Wednesday final meeting

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

We will be meeting on Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:30pm in our regular classroom. Bring your creative sound work to class. You can bring your computer and connect it to the projector, and it’s always good to have a backup, too – perhaps a copy of your podcast on a usb drive ‘just in case’.When creating your podcasts pay attention to Lynn’s helpful suggestions for improving their audio and visual qualities (see previous posts, below). Send your podcast to Lynn on Wednesday so she can post them to the blog.  See you soon!

Wednesday last class

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

Bring your cameras and a way to get the pictures from your camera into a computer.

Camera phones are fine as long as you are able to get the pictures out of the phone.

Meet in the classroom at 2:30.

See you!

Comments on podcasts wanted!

Sunday, December 9th, 2007

Now that the podcasts are up it is time to listen to each other’s work and make meaningful comments!

Your comments might address the ideas in the review and/or the production aspects of the podcast (ie, use of images, sound, timing, etc.). How do the content and the production work together to communicate the ideas?

Also I hope you are keeping the lessons learned from this project in mind as you create your final creative project (due Dec 19).

Many many many thanks to Lynn for making this happen. She is working very hard behind the scenes to get everything online and operational.

Wednesday – Film Forum

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

the violinOn Wednesday we will be going to see “The Violin” at Film Forum. The ticket will cost you $5.50 (this is a discounted rate). The film is in Spanish with English subtitles. There is some violence, especially at the beginning.

Arrive at 2:45pm.

Film Forum is in Soho, 209 West Houston Street, New York, NY 10014, between 6th Avenue and Varick (7th Avenue). Click here for a map, directions, and subway info.

If you’re coming from Baruch I recommend you walk over to 23 St. and 6th Ave. and take the F/V to West 4th St. Exit at the front of the train and walk downtown on 6th Ave. to Houston St. Take a right on Houston and Film Forum is halfway down the block.
