Mormonism and Satire

Mormonism and Satire

I'm including a link to a South Park episode that is a (rather crude, but humorous) depiction Mormonism and its founding. Its interesting to see how the popularity of a post-millennial sect is lampooned. I can only imagine early Christians facing similar criticism and satire (in addition to the lions). Once again, for any of those who haven't watched an episode of South Park before, the cartoon can be a bit disturbing at times, but surely nothing more shocking than Revelation. Enjoy.

Mormonism on PBS

If you happen to be interested in Mormonism there is a series currently running on PBS about its founding, history, and such.  I happened to watch part two of it and it was about the prophet, his revelation, missionaries and just a lot of things that are related to our class.  It was pretty interesting to watch.  If anyone is interested in watching it you can view the entire series online at  www.pbs.org/mormons/view/

hey, thanks for the video,

hey, thanks for the video, I'm watching it now.

correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure there was an episode of south park where two of the characters go down to hell, but before entering "the gates" (or what have you) they find out that "it was mormonism all along." that is, the religion necessary for entering heaven.
