Willkommen!

I generally don't wear red lipstick, least not at 9:45 AM.

My name is Katharine, and I'm an English major with a concentration in Creative Writing. I'm also considering a German major and plethora of minors that I've yet to begin. These include, but are not limited to, Media, Literature, Psychology, and German. I live in the dorm on 25th street, but my family lives in Stony Point, New York. Contrary to popular belief amongst New Yorkers, this is not upstate New York (Rockland is the first county above Jersey,) but I've ceded out of argumentative exhaustion. I am the youngest of four children. The oldest is my sister Liana, then my brother, Dan, then my other brother, Tim. My parents are extremely happy that, after thirty years of raising children, they have a house to themselves.

My summer was eventful. In an attempt to get ahead in my major and eliminate some GERs, I took two summer courses in the first session - Fiction Workshop 1, with professor Thomas, and The Psychology of Human Sexuality, with professor Van Wettering. I thought they were both excellent. At the end of June, I took a weekend trip to Pittsburgh with a few of my friends, and at the end of July, I flew out to California to visit my sister. I only completed half of my summer reading list - as of August 28th, I had completed Man Gone Down, by Michael Thomas, Giovanni's Room, by James Baldwin, Atonement, by Ian McEwan, The Bell Jar, by Sylvia Plath, and The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I'm kind of obsessed with books.

In California, my sister's dog, Rusty, discovered my Macbook. A photobooth session ensued.
