Libraries of Flushing

There are eight branches of the Queens Borough Public Libraries in Flushing. Fushing is also home to the very first branch of the Queens Borough Public Libraries which was established in 1858.

Flushing Library

Flushing Library, located at the corner of Main St. and Kissena Blvd, is the largest of the Queens Borough Public Library branches. This branch has books available in Chinese, Spanish, Korean, and Japanese to serve the diverse community. In the lower level of the library, there are language rooms where people gather to practice English in classes run by the library. This section also has dictionaries in a plethora of different languages.
