Discovering the Unconventional Art of NYC

Way of Life

People say a picture can represent a thousand words and with this picture it does. The three main objects presented on the dinner table can exemplify an entire American/ New York culture, way of life, tradition, and even the economy. From the well-established and traditional thirst quencher, Coca-Cola, to the newer and healthier fast food giant, Subway, to the clock that represents the essential piece to all American’s and New Yorker’s life, we, as Americans and New Yorkers alike, can relate to each item.

Boogie Woogie Broadway

Boogie Woogie Broadway, by Piet Mondrian, is a perfect example of the arts in New York since it's an outsider looking at New York City and romanticizing it in a picture, since New York City has often been romanticized in song, dance, and fine and graphic arts by outsiders as well as New Yorkers.
