The DetectivesFrom The Peopling of New York CityWe are the few who have decided to investigate the lives of New York slave owners involved in the so-called Slave conspiracy of 1741. Like Sherlock Holmes and Watson we put our wits together to uncover everything we could about the slave owners. We are the pesky detectives who will guide you through this historical scene. Like the slave owners and slaves (unwillingly), many of us are also immigrants who came to New York not too long ago. Get to know us a little better!
