Hi, I'm Katie!  I am part of the class that has been exploring New York City and its immigrants this past semester.  I was born on Staten Island and have lived there my whole life.  My family consists of Italian, German, and Irish ethnicities but we generally follow many Italian traditions.  I go to school at Baruch College in Manhattan and plan to travel the world once I am done with school. I am still deciding between a major in Marketing and a major in Civil Law- tough decision.  This project has opened my eyes to the many different people who call New York City home and has shown me how interesting different cultures can be.  I hope it does the same for you!
