Hi, my name is Monica Ng.  I grew up in Whitestone, NY and am currently attending Baruch College.  I plan to major in Accounting, but we'll see how that goes.  My parents immigrated here in the early 80's from Hong Kong in fear of Hong Kong's political turnover from England back to China.  My parents are pretty Americanized, so in turn, I feel that I am fairly assimilated into the American culture.  I grew up in a predominantly Italian, Irish, and Greek neighborhood so I really don't identify myself with my Chinese heritage.  Yet, from time to time, my parents surprise me with a tidbit about my Chinese heritage.
