Shore Front

Shore Front was created in the early 1950s. It is a Jewish community center whose goal is to serve all kinds of people. This center provides educational, recreational, preventive and rehabilitative health, cultural, citizenship, and human service programs. Shore Front has a daycare program for babies and toddlers between 6 months to 2 ½ years old. The size of each class is limited to a total of 10 children, which allows individual attention for each child to meet his/her needs. This program is really helpful for single parents needing help to watch their children while they go to work. It also has a center for teens. There is a lounge just for teenagers to hang out and meet new people, leadership programs, clubs ranging from arts to sports, career planning, which teaches people how to write resumes, and tutoring from homework to AP and SAT exams. For the adults, there is a fitness center that contains a fully renovated fitness facility, pool, sauna, and a full court gym. Lastly, Shore Front offers social services such as housing and legal assistance, financial consultations, crisis intervention, and many more. Visit Shore Front at 3300 Coney Island Avenue or for more information, call 718-646-1444.
