Hi my name is Sarah Hussain. I was born in Astoria, Queens and moved to Rockland County when I was seven. New York has always been my home. However, my parents are from Karachi, Pakistan. Because I haven't lived in the city for most of my recent life, I really appreciate the amalgamation of different ethnicities and cultures that exist in NYC that much more. I am currently going to Baruch College. So far, my experience going to college in this amazing city has been wonderful. This IDC project has allowed me to discover parts and rich cultures and traditions of the New York City that I never knew existed.
