Christoph Kimmich

cmk021Christoph Kimmich is the President of Brooklyn College. Mr. Kimmich has served as the President of Brooklyn College for more than thirty years. He spoke greatly about how our City University of New York (CUNY) was affected by the fiscal crisis, including about how tuition was implemented at CUNY in the face of this crisis. The fiscal crisis had severe social effects on CUNY students. Many students left the colleges and often abandoned their goals of a higher education. The faculty was heavily reduced. Mr. Kimmich lost his job as a professor at Brooklyn College. The office of financial aid was introduced to CUNY campuses. The reputations of CUNY colleges took a major hit. The fiscal crisis led to long-lasting changes for CUNY, its students, and its faculty.
