Evelyn Pérez-Albino is a Labor and Employment attorney, Fortune 500 executive, and career strategist. She is currently Associate General Counsel at Meta (formerly Facebook) where she advises the business on all workstreams impacting global DEI, People Analytics, Recruiting, Talent Mobility, and HR Compliance initiatives. Evelyn also founded a career strategy firm, Ella Elevates LLC, where she focuses on empowering high-achieving professionals of color to take charge of and successfully navigate their own careers, helping them set a clear vision and strategic plan to achieve their career objectives, negotiate their salaries, as well as job hunt and pivot strategically.
Prior to joining Meta in 2021, Evelyn was Director of Labor & Employment at JetBlue Airways Corp., where she counseled the airline and related entities on a myriad of U.S and international employment, labor relations, and workplace compliance issues, managed all related employment litigation matters, and crisis management amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Evelyn was also a member of JetBlue’s inaugural Diversity Leadership Council, serving as a thought leader for the airline’s diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy.
Evelyn was also Labor & Employment Counsel at Advance Publications, Inc., the media conglomerate parent of renowned magazine publisher, Condé Nast after beginning her legal career as a Benefits and Labor & Employment Associate at the New York City offices of Kelley Drye and Warren, LLP, handling employment litigation and counseling for a broad array of clients across finance, healthcare, and other industries.
Evelyn is a 2018 Council of Urban Professionals (CUP) Fellow and served as a member of the CUP Fellows Alumni Board. She is also an active member of the New York City Bar Association and Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), having previously served as HNBA Region II Deputy President and Chair of its Young Lawyers Committee. Evelyn’s former board service also includes her time as Chair of the Board of Directors Chair for Trabajamos Community Head Start, Inc., a non-profit early childhood educational facility and federal grantee serving lower-income and underrepresented children and families in the Bronx borough of New York City.
Evelyn received her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served as Associate Editor of the Arts & Entertainment Law Journal, Co-Chair of the Latin American Law Student Association, and founding member of MetroLALSA, a 501(c)(3) regional organization for Latin American Law Student Association members throughout the thirteen law schools in the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area. She is also a magna cum laude graduate of CUNY’s Macaulay Honors College (Hunter College campus), holding a BA in Psychology and Political Science.
Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York City’s Washington Heights, Evelyn is a native Spanish speaker and an avid champion of diversity in the legal profession and beyond, long committed to social issues affecting communities of color. She is a frequent speaker and enthusiastic mentor to young professionals of color and is wholeheartedly invested in their collective success. Evelyn lives in Rockland County with her husband and 4 year old son and enjoys eating good food, traveling, and creating memories with her friends and family.
