When Macaulay Honors College was established back in 2001, our founders and CUNY committed to making technology a meaningful part of student learning, no matter what the subject. The result: students learn how to find (or create) and use digital tools to pursue any academic question and to make their ideas ready for the global stage.
We provide every incoming first year Macaulay student a laptop, loaded with all the apps needed, no matter what their area of concentration. And we offer free tech support.
Macaulay staffs all of its classes with Instructional Technology Fellows to help students implement and present ideas using tech solutions.
The Macaulay student eportfolio system provides a personal web publishing platform to allow our students to build websites, share information with instructors and explore issues with other students. It’s a blog that each student designs and maintains for academic work and personal expression.
