An Artist’s Journey: Meet Dan Schlesinger

Macaulay Honors College is pleased to welcome artist Dan Schlesinger for a conversation and reception to celebrate his first exhibition in New York City.

A native New Yorker, Dan focused on academic and professional pursuits in his early years, attending Yale, Harvard and Oxford universities, and practicing as a lawyer.

Later, Dan realized his passion and successfully transitioned to acclaimed fine artist, focusing on painting, ceramics and illustration. He is well known in Japan as the illustrator and cover designer of all six books of the Japanese edition on the Harry Potter series, selling over 22 million copies. Although his work has been shown in England, Japan and the United States, our event marks the first time his work will be shown in New York City.
