Coco Lim

Coco Lim 2023 Macaulay at Baruch College

Coco Lim is a Biochemistry and Media Arts in the Sciences double major. She was involved in research and completed a Honors Thesis on Drosophila melanogaster muscle development. Beyond her academic pursuits, she was an ophthalmic technician, medical scribe, high school mentor, and tutor. She served various roles on campus such as President of Baruch’s BioMed Society, Honors Program Ambassador, Honors Program Peer Mentor, and Student Academic Consulting Center Tutor.

In Fall 2021, she completed her internship with Franklin Furnace Archive in the CUNY Cultural Corps program. She has been a Baruch Inquiry Scholar, Barbara Price Fellow, and Thomas W. Smith Fellow. She is a recipient of the Dr. Emil Gernert BioMed Award, Memorial Scholarship for Students in Social Work, Human Services, Health or Education, Peter F. Vallone Academic Scholarship, and CUNY BA Alumni Fund Award. She intends to continue her education at medical school after taking a gap year.
