Andy Piña, a Bronx native born to Dominican parents, found his path through education. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Hofstra University and later pursued a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from SUNY Stony Brook University.
Andy began his higher education career as a Tutor Counselor/Peer Mentor at Hofstra University. Subsequently, he transitioned to the role of Resident Director at SUNY Maritime College. Notably, he spent the last seven years at CUNY Borough of Manhattan Community College as an Academic Advisor, making a significant impact on students’ academic and career paths.
Andy spends his personal time listening to music, playing sports, and hanging out with friends and family. These activities make up the core of how he chooses to unwind and connect with others.
