Macaulay’s creative writing workshops, led by Student Writing Specialist Cameron Stewart, are open to students looking for a place to energize their work during the summer lull. Each week, participants will read and comment on peer poetry and fiction in a low-stakes, collaborative setting. Students will have the opportunity to meet fellow writers and build a cohort of artists across campuses. Participants will also study a variety of published works for methods of perspective, voice, and the representation of time.
In addition to having their writing read by peers, students will meet one-on-one with Cam—Columbia MFA student—to review and revise their stories. After completing the month-long program, we will gather and publish our polished work in a journal.
July 12th, 19th, 26th, and August 2nd
We encourage that all registrants be able to attend every session.
If interested, please register by June 10th.
Writers of all experience levels are welcome to participate!
