REFERENCES

You will need references from two professionals who can describe your academic, professional, and personal goals and characteristics that will help you succeed as a Friedman Scholar.

Reference 1: Your first reference must be a professional at your current college that can speak about the qualities that will help you succeed in your academic and/or professional goals. This person could be a professor, coach, or academic or student affairs adviser.

Reference 2: Your second reference any be any person (excluding family and friends) that can speak to your personal, professional or academic achievements, qualities and goals.

Once you have identified your two references, ask them to complete the Friedman Transfer Scholars Recommendation Form . Your two recommendations must be submitted by Monday, May 6, 1PM.

Based upon the contents of your application, the Admissions Committee may request an in-person or zoom interview. Interviews will occur in May. In the event that an interview is requested, be sure to frequently check the email for interview request information.

I understand that full admittance to Macaulay Honors College at one of the consortia schools is contingent upon completing the Friedman Transfer Scholars Program and meeting eligibility requirements, not limited to the Summer 2024 Intensive, honor seminars at your admitted Macaulay campus in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025, making timely progress towards associate graduation in Spring 2025, and maintaining required cumulative GPA of 3.5.

I acknowledge that the purpose of disclose is to evaluate my application for and, if accepted, participation in the Friedman Transfer Scholars Program, pursuant to which I may be eligible for transfer to Macaulay Honors College at one of its consortia colleges for my junior year.
