Robert Adler

Robert Adler Brooklyn College

Robert Adler is a graduating senior double majoring in History and Business Administration. He is an active part of campus life at Brooklyn College, serving as president of the Speech and Debate team, BA-MD Academic Club, Treasurer and Past editor-in-chief of the Historical Society, and as Undergraduate Student Advocate. In addition to being a resource for students with concerns and improving the campus experience through active involvement in college governance, Robert has spearheaded the effort to support a Hunger Free Campus at Brooklyn College, and has hosted many events dedicated to the improvement of student life, including a comedy night with the world renowned Bassem Youssef and lectures with a Nobel Laureate and Federal Agency Directors.

Robert has volunteered for various new student projects, such as being a panelist for our Welcoming Dinner and producing an information video for incoming students. He has consistently sought to create ways to help students be a part of campus life and provide information about resources.

Aryeh Kalb

Aryeh Kalb 2023 Macaulay at Lehman College

Aryeh Kalb is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science cum laude from Lehman College. During his time at Macaulay and Lehman, he served in various roles in student government including as a member of the Macaulay Scholars Council, Lehman Senate, and University Student Senate. He also serves as the student member of the CUNY Board of Trustees committee on education policy. Starting this fall he will begin a PhD in Political Science at the CUNY Graduate Center.

Tasneem Ibrahim

Tasneem Ibrahim 2023 Macaulay at Brooklyn College

Tasneem Ibrahim ’23 is a Chemistry major and Psychology minor. She is graduating with honors from Macaulay Brooklyn and the prestigious Coordinated BA-MD Program. Tasneem has demonstrated outstanding leadership throughout her undergraduate years. She has served as a student senator in the Undergraduate Student Government, actively advocating and promoting for the campus community. Tasneem also served as the Vice-President of the BA-MD Academic Club. She helped organize the first ever BA-MD Distinguished Lecture Series which featured great leaders such as Dr. Harold Varmus, Dr. Lawrence Tabak, and Dr. Rochelle Walensky. These were incredible opportunities for the pre-health community to gain insight into the latest advancements in the medical field from renowned experts.

Tasneem’s time at Macaulay demonstrates her commitment to giving back as well as her dedication and leadership. Tasneem will be pursuing her medical education at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine.

Coco Lim

Coco Lim 2023 Macaulay at Baruch College

Coco Lim is a Biochemistry and Media Arts in the Sciences double major. She was involved in research and completed a Honors Thesis on Drosophila melanogaster muscle development. Beyond her academic pursuits, she was an ophthalmic technician, medical scribe, high school mentor, and tutor. She served various roles on campus such as President of Baruch’s BioMed Society, Honors Program Ambassador, Honors Program Peer Mentor, and Student Academic Consulting Center Tutor.

In Fall 2021, she completed her internship with Franklin Furnace Archive in the CUNY Cultural Corps program. She has been a Baruch Inquiry Scholar, Barbara Price Fellow, and Thomas W. Smith Fellow. She is a recipient of the Dr. Emil Gernert BioMed Award, Memorial Scholarship for Students in Social Work, Human Services, Health or Education, Peter F. Vallone Academic Scholarship, and CUNY BA Alumni Fund Award. She intends to continue her education at medical school after taking a gap year.

Katrynna Jackowicz

Katrynna Jackowicz 2023 Macaulay at Baruch College

Katrynna Jackowicz is a Political Science and Management of Musical Enterprises double major with minors in NYC Studies and Sociology. Currently, she works as an A&R intern at Waxploitation, an American record label. Katrynna served as the VP of Philanthropy for Women in Business this year and was an Honors Program Ambassador for the Baruch Honors Program since her sophomore year. She is also a recipient of the Baruch Women’s Committee Award for her contribution to furthering an understanding of racial and gender-based issues. In Summer 2021, she became the Community Engagement Intern for Building Beats, followed by a Communications and Programs Internship with the Asian American Arts Alliance. She has also interned with XR Ensemble, Brooklyn Made Presents, and a NYS senate campaign. In Winter 2023, she studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she learned about the impact of tango on Argentine culture, society, and politics. This fall, Katrynna will be attending Northeastern University School of Law to pursue international human rights work.
